Rolex Fined $100 Million For Thwarting Online Watch Sales

Rolex received a fine of approximately $100 million from the French antitrust agency for pursuing an illegal chain of distributors who were selling the Swiss brand’s luxury watches online for more than a decade. The Authorite de la Concurrence had denied the justifications from the French unit of Rolex that the online ban “was justified by the need to combat counterfeiting and parallel trade.”The violations are quite “serious, as they amount to closing a marketing channel, to the detriment of consumers and retailers, when the online distribution of luxury products, including watches, has been booming over the past 15 years,” the regulator had said in a statement on Tuesday. The penalty comes along with an order for the French unit to inform the retailers of this decision and to publish a full summary of it on their website within just two months and for seven back-to-back days. The decision is followed by industry raids and complaints from the authorities. Rolex had declined any comment over this decision. The regulator had said that it founded Rolex France equally liable with Rolex SA, Rolex Holding SA, and the Hans Wilsdorf Foundation.Read Also:H&M Sales Drop As Consumer Demand For Fast Fashion WaversMargiela Artisanal, Valentino Menswear Return To Paris Fashion WeekRanveer Singh’s Wax Statues At Madame Tussauds London Are Homage To Indo Western Fashion

H&M Sales Drop

H&M’s revenue dropped as the consumers had pulled back on spending at the H&M outlets and after the chained clothing brand closed in Russia.Sales had dropped by 4% in the last three months through November at the constant currencies, the company had said, in line with the expectations of the analysts. The company has also lost its sales growth momentum that it had demonstrated in the first half of the previous year. The slowdown had increased discounts to clear all the inventory, a problem that the company has been struggling with for over seven years. The brand has warned in September that the sales were falling that month because of a weird, warm start of autumn in Europe.https://twitter.com/NewsSrcCrawler/status/1736099951816347989H&M shares changed a little in Stockholm. In the previous year, sales had increased because of a temporary opening in Russia before the brand had permanently discontinued all of its operations in Russia.H&M had eventually reopened in Ukraine in the month of November after having ceased all of its operations in the country due to the war in February 2022.Other than Belarus and Russia, the decline in sales all over was 1 percent.H&M had always been vulnerable to the competition like Inditex and the newer brands like Shein that had had a strong grip over the market with its cut-price offerings.Yet, the stock price for H&M rose by 57 percent this year as the brand tries to improve its profitability and reduce the backlog in inventories.Let's Find Out More News By Clicking Below!!Fashion Giant Zara Faces Boycott Over ‘Sickening’ Campaign Resembling Gaza DestructionDeepika Padukone Stuns In A Custom-Made Louis Vuitton Custom Gown At Academy Museum GalaEmma Corrin And Elizabeth Debicki Channeled Princess Diana In Different Ways On ‘The Crown’ Finale Red Carpet

Zara Regrets ‘Misunderstanding’ Over Photoshoot After Gaza Boycott Calls

Zara said on Tuesday that it regrets the whole “misunderstanding” over the advertising campaign, which featured mannequins that had missing limbs and were wrapped up in white, which triggered outbreaks of boycotting the brand by some of the pro-Palestinian activists.“Unfortunately, some customers felt offended by these images, which have now been removed, and saw in them something far from what was intended when they were created,” Zara claimed in a post on their Instagram account. The account had to experience hundreds of thousands of comments on the photos with a number of Palestinian flags. On the other hand, “#BoycottZara” was trending all over social media platforms like X.“Zara regrets that misunderstanding and we reaffirm our deep respect towards everyone,” Zara said. Six posts that had pictures of the campaign resembling corpses wrapped in shrouds were taken down from Zara’s official Instagram page. Zara said at the launch of the collection on Dec. 7 that “it was inspired by men’s tailoring from past centuries. The photos appeared to show an artist studio with ladders, packing materials, wooden crates, and cranes, and assistants wearing overalls.”Read Also:Fashion Giant Zara Faces Boycott Over ‘Sickening’ Campaign Resembling Gaza DestructionDeepika Padukone Stuns In A Custom-Made Louis Vuitton Custom Gown At Academy Museum GalaEmma Corrin And Elizabeth Debicki Channeled Princess Diana In Different Ways On ‘The Crown’ Finale Red Carpet

Fashion Giant Zara Faces Boycott

The very new promotional campaign by the fashion giant Zara has caused tremendous outrage and shock, with the audience complaining that it promotes an underlying celebration of Gaza’s destruction. The campaign, which is aimed at promoting a very new collection of jackets, portrays the model Kristen McMenamy, who stands in between rubble and mannequins that are completely wrapped in white, which resembles all the shrouded bodies of the victims of the indiscriminate war of Israel on Gaza, which had till date killed more than 18,000 people, which also included thousands of children. The images had a strong resemblance of the damaged and destroyed buildings, with rubble spread out everywhere.Melanie Eltruk, the chief executive officer of the Fashion house Haute Hijab, said about the campaign, “This is sick. What kind of sick, twisted, and sadistic images am I looking at?”Zara had caused a number of controversies before when the Israeli franchise holder of the brand invited the extremist Israeli minister Itamar Ben Givr to his own house.Another name from the fashion world, designer and entrepreneur Samira Atash, called to boycott Zara because of the campaign. As per Zara, this series is what they call a “limited edition collection celebrating our commitment to craftsmanship and passion for artistic expression.”However, the fashion brand is going through renewed calls for boycotts, where the hashtag #boycottZara has attracted more than 110,000 posts on the social platform X, which was known as Twitter formerly.Read Also:Fashion Designer Rohit Bal Critical, On Ventilator SupportDeepika Padukone Stuns In A Custom-Made Louis Vuitton Custom Gown At Academy Museum GalaEmma Corrin And Elizabeth Debicki Channeled Princess Diana In Different Ways On ‘The Crown’ Finale Red Carpet

Emma Corrin And Elizabeth Debicki Channeled Princess Diana

The finale of “The Crown” is back, and we cannot stay calm. What has taken the internet by storm more than the drama are the actresses who brought Princess Diana back to life. BothElizabeth Debicki and Emma Corrin joined all the other members of the Netflix series, "The Crown" for their finale celebration at London Royal Festival Hall on Tuesday. The snaps from the event showed Corrin and Debicki sharing a very sweet moment on the red carpet while giving one another a warm embrace, chatting pretty closely, and posing for the camera together.Debicki, who plays Princess Diana in the fifth and sixth seasons of the Netflix drama, landed on the red carpet in a gorgeous, floor-length Dior gown. As per the reports of Vogue, the dress was styled for her by the British stylist Elizabeth Saltzman. The dress was covered in small sequins and mother-of-pearls cuvettes.Talking to the publications while she was getting all decked up for the premiere, Debicki said that she has never put on “anything quite like it.”“It’s gorgeous,” the actor said before she showered Maria Grazia Chiuri, the creative director of Dior, with praise.“There’s a delicacy and an intricacy to her designs, but they are incredibly bold and feel empowering to wear,” Debicki further added.Intentional or unintentional, Debicki’s look for the red carpet was a reminder of no one but two iconic gowns that the Princess of Wales wore back in the 1980s.While Debicki seemed like she took inspiration from the glamorous side of Princess Diana’s style statement, Emma Corris, who played the role of Diana in season four of The Crown, made their choice to go for a bolder look, which the royal had worn when she visited Florence in 1985. Corron, who was perfectly styled Harry Lambert, wore a customized Miu Miu ensemble that had multiple elements that were borrowed from the outfit that Diana had worn, which included the shirt, cream blazer, and black bow tie.Read Also:Fashion Designer Rohit Bal Critical, On Ventilator SupportShefali Shah’s Red Torani Saree Was Fierier Than The Emmy 2023 Red Carpet ItselfDeepika Padukone Stuns In A Custom-Made Louis Vuitton Custom Gown At Academy Museum Gala
