Rose Inc And Stripes Sold At Auction
Rose Inc., the makeup brand that was founded in partnership with Rosie Huntington Whitely, was sold off to the Hong Kong-based asset management organization AA Investments on 13th December for $2.5 million, as per reports.
“On the same day, Stripes, the menopause-focused skincare line created in partnership with the actress Naomi Watts, was sold for $500,000 to Sakana LLC, a company that lists Watts as a managing member,” the reports further added.
After filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in the month of August, Amyris started individually selling off its customer brands through a process of auction. The most lucrative of its brands, Biossance, was sold to the British e-commerce company THG for $20 million on 30 November.
JVN hair was bought by the consumer investing company Windsong Global, which also bought the babycare line Pipette for $1.25 million on 13 December.
At the same time, Larissa Thomson and Francisco Costa bought their respective brands, Onda Beauty and Costa Brazil, back in October. 4U and Meno Labs by Tia have also gotten buyers.
