Emma Corrin And Elizabeth Debicki Channeled Princess Diana In Different Ways On ‘The Crown’ Finale Red Carpet
The finale of “The Crown” is back, and we cannot stay calm. What has taken the internet by storm more than the drama are the actresses who brought Princess Diana back to life. Both
Elizabeth Debicki and Emma Corrin joined all the other members of the Netflix series, “The Crown” for their finale celebration at London Royal Festival Hall on Tuesday.
The snaps from the event showed Corrin and Debicki sharing a very sweet moment on the red carpet while giving one another a warm embrace, chatting pretty closely, and posing for the camera together.
Debicki, who plays Princess Diana in the fifth and sixth seasons of the Netflix drama, landed on the red carpet in a gorgeous, floor-length Dior gown. As per the reports of Vogue, the dress was styled for her by the British stylist Elizabeth Saltzman. The dress was covered in small sequins and mother-of-pearls cuvettes.
Talking to the publications while she was getting all decked up for the premiere, Debicki said that she has never put on “anything quite like it.”
“It’s gorgeous,” the actor said before she showered Maria Grazia Chiuri, the creative director of Dior, with praise.
“There’s a delicacy and an intricacy to her designs, but they are incredibly bold and feel empowering to wear,” Debicki further added.
Intentional or unintentional, Debicki’s look for the red carpet was a reminder of no one but two iconic gowns that the Princess of Wales wore back in the 1980s.
While Debicki seemed like she took inspiration from the glamorous side of Princess Diana’s style statement, Emma Corris, who played the role of Diana in season four of The Crown, made their choice to go for a bolder look, which the royal had worn when she visited Florence in 1985. Corron, who was perfectly styled Harry Lambert, wore a customized Miu Miu ensemble that had multiple elements that were borrowed from the outfit that Diana had worn, which included the shirt, cream blazer, and black bow tie.
